Google Nest connection

Home Assistant Nest

The Google authorization screen identifies this connection as Home Assistant Nest. It connects the Nest thermostats you authorize to your Home Assistant system, so My House can display their status and send your temperature and mode changes.

What you authorize

Access to the home and room information Google provides, including the home name and postal code, and the selected thermostats’ information, temperature readings and settings. Control permission allows thermostat settings to be changed.

Why it is needed

To identify the right thermostat, show its current temperature and operating mode, and apply your requested settings or household automations. Google authorization is handled by Home Assistant.

You remain in control

You choose which supported devices to authorize in Google’s permission screen. You can revoke the connection through your Google Account and remove the Nest integration from Home Assistant.

For your household

This connection is currently used for a private household pilot. App access is arranged with the household administrator; this page does not provide public registration. Features depend on the devices, integrations and permissions enabled in your home.

My House is provided by Setup My House. It is an independent application, not an official Google or Home Assistant product.
